The Gunslinger by Stephen King
5.0
I’m making The Gunslinger my first review because it is one of my favorites. I’m not going to write a synopsis or rehash the plot because that’s already been done hundreds of times. The Gunslinger was the first non horror Stephen King book that really grabbed me and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I had also never read such a series of epic proportion, so I dove right in and read every book that was available. When I started I had no idea the series was incomplete, and it turned out I had to wait 5 years for The Dark a Tower to be released. In fact, in anticipation of the final book I re-read the entire series including the tie in books.
I love the whole Dark Towers series as a whole, but I didn’t necessarily love every single book as a stand-alone. When enough time has passed I’m sure I will read it all again.
