Unspeakable Acts: True Tales of Crime, Murder, Deceit, and Obsession
by Sarah Weinman
Unspeakable Acts is an anthology of true-crime essays featuring some cases you’ve heard of and some you haven’t to illustrate key features that underlie the seduction of the genre. My personal favorite essays are The Reckoning (Pamela Colloff), The End of Evil (Sarah Marshall), and “I Am a Girl Now,” Sage Smith Wrote. Then She Went Missing. by Emma Copley-Eisenberg. However, I found the entire anthology enjoyable and would recommend to anyone who regularly partakes in the genre.
