As things are finally looking up for Lizzie in the career department, her personal life seems to be crashing and burning. After spending New Year's Eve making out with her best friend's ex, Lizzie is proposed to by her ex, Luke. As things get more and more complicated, Lizzie's big mouth can only make things worse than they are right now.

I had to spoil this book for myself so that I could finish this book. The second and third book of this series completely negates what happens in the first book, kinda like what the [b:A Court of Thorns and Roses|16096824|A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)|Sarah J. I do like that Lizzie and Chaz got together, but the way it was done wasn't the best.

There were a lot of things that were clearly added just to propel the plot, but in non-realistic ways. A lot of the things in this book was unusual and unrealistic.

There were some parts of the book that I thought did not like. Some bits were cringy, some bits were okay, and some bits were good. I honestly could've done without reading the last two books of this trilogy.
