The Crown Conspiracy by Michael J. Sullivan

4.0

The world and setting are pretty straight-forward for a fantasy book, but it looks like it could get more involved in later books. The real appeal is the characters. Hadrian and Royce are just cool. I like the witty, cunning thief trope (kind of like Locke Lamora), and it was done pretty well with these two. Also, I was surprised with the prince's character arc. It was different from what I was expecting.
