“most stuff is like other stuff. this isn’t like anything else.”
Sometimes you get the rare pleasure of reading something totally novel and unheard of. Just an insane way of writing and of expression that digs at the human condition. Certainly not for everyone, but i think once you realize what she’s doing, it’s hard to deny its grandeur.

Such a cool book. So much respect for Clarice Lispector for what she is attempting to do. reads like free-form flowing jazz or water, solely focused on whatever instant is being written/read at that moment. Doesn’t exactly have structure, although i can’t blame her for that based on the content. The overall themes are pretty clear by the end.
