Letters At Christmas by Amber Lin

3.0

I originally read this story as part of A Very Scandalous Holiday Anthology (which I gave a rating of 4) and when it showed up as an Amazon freebie over the summer, I figured I would pick it up to read again near the holidays. It is a cute story of two childhood friends that fall in love. But one has no fortune and needs to validate his ability to take care of her. So off he goes - but things don't happen the way he planned. Now that he's returned she's a bit peeved at him and he needs to win her back before Christmas.

As I said, it was a fun read, but it didn't really stand out to me. At about 64 pages it is a good one to read all at once and the story does keep moving at a nice place. It was just a tad too cliche for me to rate it much higher.
