First off, if you’re a fan of Kpop demon hunters and looking for books with similar vibes? This is it (and actually how I heard of The God and the Gumiho)!
Without revealing spoilers, it’s a beautifully written story with a twist at the end I didn’t see coming. I loved reading about New Sinsi and the creatures and humans that lived in it, the chosen and found family bonds, and the mix of romance, mystery, and action. I wanted to delve more into this world and learn more. There is also a variety of Korean mythological creatures in here.
I came into this thinking it would have a happy ending, but it’s bittersweet, yet fitting for the character arcs and events of the story. I look forward to reading book 2! This is told in third person, dual POV.
