This was one of those 'read it until your body forces you to stop' books. Those 'are you coming to bed?' books.  Probably one of the best books I've read in the last few years. I laughed, I cried, I cringed at the horrifying necromantic abomininations.

The writing is a perfect blend of descriptive and funny. Gideon is a wonderful character who I was glad to spend so much time with. The world building was expertly done and never once infodumped on me. I was lost in this book and the characters.

This book deserves wild success and I was so glad I'd bought Harrow the Ninth at the same time so I could start it immediately.
