I found Elizabethan Life in Town and Country by M. St. Clare Bryne at a local thrift shop for 50¢ and it was money well spent. It's a real gem. I've never read anything quite like this that covers such a wide variety of topics about all facets of life in this time period. I'm so glad they covered details about children too. I wonder what the original edition from the 1920s would have looked like?
