10/10 : I’ve adored the YA books of Holly’s that I’ve read, & this is her first foray into adult novels. I’ve been hotly anticipating this book from the library, & it was most certainly worth the wait. Holly writes with such perceptive observation, perfectly showcasing our inner monologues, saying the things we think but don’t say, the diatribe of thoughts that repeat over & over in our minds. This novel, to me, sharply affirms that it is OK to not be OK. Having it all, or the impression of having it all, from the outside, doesn’t make it true, & it’s OK to need more. This was a really bloody good book @hollybourneya, thank f*ck you exist!
