Usually I find something to not like about these books but I really enjoyed this one. The one problem I had is that they never explained her power....unless I missed it early on. I felt that the pacing was good and the stakes felt real unlike most YAs. The main character had what I felt was the appropriate responses to the adults in her life.

Being betrayed by her mother her whole life gives her a legit trust issue with adults. The teacher, Mike, felt like a great person in her life from school. Someone that is actually looking out for her future. Wills mother and father are great support that she doesn't feel she deserves. Its nice that she can trust in these adults.
