I think this was my favourite book of this series. I have to admit I wasn't too keen on many of the character until this book but the were, mostly, redeemed. My favourite character was Nikolai and am looking forward to the books about him.
I also thought the writing improved alot in this. Reading it I felt the the author had finally found her feet (if that even makes sense).
Overall, the series is an easy enough read once you get used to the World of the Grishaverse. It's not a series I would read again as I wasn't gone o the first 2 books but it is worth a try if you want an easier read .
