As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson

3.0

a very dark turn and ultimately, a sad ending. it’s kinda
crazy how everything comes full circle, and it’s pretty genius of the author to tie so many people, so many lives and so many crimes together in a dark circle. the ending is hopeful, happy even, but it feels unsatisfactory. yes, justice was served, but in possibly the worst way possible. it breaks my heart to see what pip turned into when all she was trying to do was good, in the beginning. she’s flawed and so are the choices she made, but i was rooting for her all along. the darkest thing about this book is where it leaves pip, even though she got out of this she certainly wasn’t unscathed.

i loved the first book so much because the sense of the sense of normalcy and calm throughout all the chaos, so it’s obvious i didn’t enjoy this as much though i understand why everything happened.

anyway, holly jackson really had my stress levels at an all time high here, and i do really like (and hate) the world created here. pipravi i love u so much and ravi is the most ride or die book bf ever.
