Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber

5.0

Okay folks!
Back in the world of Caraval, how exciting!
This book was very enjoyable,I did a healthy 50/50 with this one, 50% reading my physical hard cover copy, and 50% listening to the audio book, which really helped me out in the later chapters when things were slowing down and it was getting hard to grasp my attention.
I loved the few scenes we got with Scarlett and Tella, it was a fun throw back to the Caraval original series while not seeming too cheesy or forced, so that was really nice.
This book follows Evangeline Fox, who was going through a rough heart-break, with the boy she'd thought was the love of her life, Luc.
Luc had been leading Evangeline on for a while now, and just recently announced that he was engaged to her sister, which is crazy!
Anyways, due to this horrid heart-break, Ms. Evangeline decided to get some help with the Fate of heart-break himself, The Prince of Hearts, Jacks, who ends up doing some pretty crazy stuff in exchange for Evangeline promising him three kisses to whomever he wanted her to kiss, whenever he wanted her to kiss.
Of course, she obliged, and started this fabulous journey.

Overall this book was very fun, and quite insane. The audio book definitely came in clutch during the slow bits, but I still give it a 5/5, super sweet, and whimsical, and I can't wait to see where this series goes.
