I happened upon this short story when I was looking through all the books in the Eden Family series. It's another that you could read anytime throughout the series and enjoy.

Before six kids and a bunch of grandkids, there was just Harrison and Anne. This is the story of how the two came to become one. After getting ready to spend a New Years Eve weekend celebrating with her girlfriends, Anne Snow is surprised and disappointed to find both her friends' boyfriends are also in attendance. Fifth wheel? Hard pass. But when her ex boyfriend, Harrison Eden, walks in, she's downright pissed. Nobody knows why she does him when they were in high school, but she does and isn't willing 5o forget. Harrison, on the other hand, is thrilled to see Anne and has always wanted to know why she ended things. Looks like a little forced proximity will be a treat for both of them.

This was a fun short story. I usually don't bother with short stories because it's hard to get invested in the characters, but this one worked for me since I'd read the whole series to date and knew more about Harrison and Anne.
