My favourite book I have read so far. If I could give it 6 stars I would. I love how real Everlyn Hugo was she started out with nothing and worked her way up to fame and fortune but yet she was so relatable. The book touches on real and raw life events that can be triggering (trigger warnings mentioned), but they were done so tastefully and really add to Everlyn as a character. I thought Monique as a character was a little neglected I didn't know too much about her, however, I think that if she was a greater part of the story it would have taken away from Everlyn's story and she ties in a lot during the last portion of the book. Overall I can not get enough of the book. It has such important messages of friendship, types of lovers, world issues, feminisms, sexuality, and the meaning of family. I 10000% recommend it to everyone, although it is a romance novel I think it isn't cliche it's exquisite and raw.
