I loved part 1, it was heartbreaking and perfect. Part 2 lost me at times. It was also heartbreaking, but felt a bit surface level soap opera-y at times. I liked the ending, although I would’ve liked a little bit more. I loved the female friendships in this book! I also learned a ton about the Vietnam War and really appreciated that aspect of this book. I do think this is an important read and will recommend!
