Had to stop highlighting bc I would have ended up marking entire pages. Didn’t think I would dog-ear so many consecutive pages.
Couldn’t put this book down. Such an interesting structure for story telling — jumping between the past and the future — though given the discussions of the concept of time it does fit perfectly.
Ugh I have so many things to say! This is a story that I need to let sit and develop.
The societal commentary was spot on…profiteering vs egoizing vs true anarchism…gender roles…loyalty vs loneliness. Sometimes the scenes were graphic and hard to read, but I do understand the choice to include such parts.
I will add more to this review after I think about this more. I just wish I could sit in a angsty college classroom and discuss this book so bad lol
