kaavi 's review for:
Heartless Monster
by Rachel Leigh
i actually really enjoyed this book. and i wasn’t expecting to like it so much because i’ve been reading a few not-so-enjoyable books lately.
i love the characters and everything about them. they were smart and capable and they had so many layers that made them morally grey, i loved it.
the plot was really good, cause it didn’t focus on just romance. it had a little mystery in it too, which i liked. i would’ve loved it if the mystery went on for longer, but it was the sub genre of the book. i wasn’t expecting the mystery, honestly, but it was still fun and it really spiced things up.
i loved the way the enemies to lovers was done. since this was a step sibling romance, i think i expected more of the secret relationship trope which had to have some people against it. there was barely any of that, so it felt a little incomplete to me.
but other than that, i loved it.
