Koontz was one of the first authors I read as I was entering into adulthood many moons ago. Returning to his writing after more than a 20 year hiatus is like drinking a cup of coffee and snuggling into a blanket on a cold day, its cozy and soothing.
What can I say about this book? Dogs that can communicate telepathically, if only that was real. I keep asking my dogs if they were on The Wire, and they wouldn't even look me in the eye...so maybe...
This is also the second book I've read in a short amount of time about the horrors of human gene modification, and even though Koontz did not have a huge scientific explanation for how this came to be in his novel, it's still food for thought.
Overall, I enjoyed it. And no dogs were harmed in the making of this book, which is of the utmost importance.
