Dead Sky Morning by Karina Halle

5.0

This book was intense.

The characters are such a huge part of this series and we get to know more about them. More of Dex and Perry's personal story and life. It was so touching and sometimes even heartbreaking. Dead Sky Morning is about emotions. A lot. These characters are so interesting. Not only Perry and Dex. I also really love Ada, I hope we will see more of her in the next books.

The part on the island. I didn't even know anymore. Everything started going wrong, but it was different from the other two books. They could only rely on each other this time, but I could feel that something was off with the both of them. The island really did a number on them, and as a result you're left wondering what is true and what is not. Wondering if they're going to go against each other. That was so well done. It was not obvious, but subtle, like little reactions at first. And then it all escalated and the last part of the book was the most intense part. Really well done.

Dex and Perry. Seeing them grow as individuals but also together was one my favourite thing about Dead Sky Morning. I can feel that there is still so much to know about them, but I am glad we are not given everything right away. After what they went through on the island, I am curious to see how things change again.

Another great book from this series.
