This book's premise very similar to [a:Charlie Cochet|5621569|Charlie Cochet|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1513980580p2/5621569.jpg]'s THIRDS series and [a:Santino Hassell|4942228|Santino Hassell|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1445991731p2/4942228.jpg]'s Community. It is really is a hybrid of these two series with a little bit of an X-Men thrown in for good measure. Despite having all the hallmarks of a series destined for me to absolutely love ... I feel relatively lukewarm about it. Perhaps my biggest struggle with this book was the lack of serious chemistry between the two MCs ... but more than that, Talon's strangely inappropriate, inconsistent and possessive behavior ...

one of his first scenes has him being attacked which did not lend itself well to portrayal of him later being invincibly strong, powerful, superhuman etc. That just didn't work for me ... and neither did the first kiss ... too soon and too weird ... definitely inappropriate.

But despite the short-comings, I did eventually enjoy this book ... I just wish there was a tiny bit more in the chemistry department. I've since moved on to book two in the hopes that some of the past issues will resolve themselves ... I really do want to like this series ...
