My Year of Rest and Relaxation
by Ottessa Moshfegh
I don't know. Honestly.
Stuck somewhere between maybe I don't get the point, more probable that there is none, not in the sense that you'd usually be looking for anyway. Utterly depressing, in a bizarre and grotesque way I haven't seen before. At times moving, the general sentiment slowly unfolds over halfway through the book, leaving you with some form of understanding.
I do think it will haunt me time and again, though.
For sure like nothing else.
