I can’t quite pinpoint exactly why this book spoke to me as much as it did. So much of it was such a tender love letter to motherhood, which is generally something that I’m just not that interested in. But the book as a whole was so beautifully written that I fully understood her contentment with giving herself over completely to motherhood. The narration was also beautiful, and it took me way too long to make the connection that Siobhan McSweeny is Sister Michael herself!
