I love Sarah Hawley and this series, it's becoming one of my favorites.
I was skeptical of how this romance would work considering the first book and it completely sold me on the relationship, it developed so beautifully! I love this kind of amnesia plots!
Sarah manages to portray character growth in a humorous yet emotional way and the smutt is great, so sexy! I feel like usually in a series (at least the ones I've read) all the couples tend to have the same kind of sex so sometimes it gets predictable and boring but you can really feel the different personalities of Calladia and Astaroth compared to Mariel and Ozroth as couple in every way, including the bedroom.
I also got very invested in their personal journeys and the overall plot of saving the hybrids and evolving the demon plane politcs. It manages to be progressive without feeling preachy or morally superior, it just is.
The side characters also shine so much, huge fan of Lilith, she's bonkers in the best way.
Can't wait to read book #3!!
