I originally read this book in 2014 then again in May of 2020. During the Covid-19 pandemic. The strength I received from this book to manage this crazy time was monumental. I adore Corrie and wish I were 1/10000 of the person she was. Her strength, courage, honesty, humility, naivety, goodness, purity was beyond any I have ever heard of. Her reliance, honesty with devotion to God was a stunning example of a follower of Christ in the most brutal of conditions. Her mother and fathers example laid the groundwork for her ability to walk out such an unimaginably beautiful life.
