Writing is great! I love Kristy’s author voice.
Theo and Anniston’s chemistry is fantastic. I love their unique and ridiculous banter. They are also epically outrageous characters.
Anniston is a really unique heroine. She breaks the normal romance heroine norms, but she will also not be everyone’s cup of tea. I liked her, though.
Theo...he is more than words can explain. Outrageous. Selfish. Self aware and unapologetic.
I love him nonetheless.
The pacing of the story was a bit slow for me at times. The friends to lovers conflict is basically non-existent. There is never a moment where I thought it would be different. There is a character whose purpose was to add some conflict to the will they, won’t they but this character is never a threat at all. There was some suspense at the end that I loved.
This book is a lot of world building. I love all the chatacters. Loved the writing. If the pacing and conflict would have been tightened up, it would have been 5 crowns for sure.
