Breaking Nova by Jessica Sorensen

2.0

Well, that was depressing.
I read it in one day, because I just kept hoping for something good to happen to Nova and Quinton. Every time it seemed like it did, I was disappointed again, because one of them would ruin it.
I liked Jessica Sorensens book 'The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden', because they made each other stronger, and didn't try to push each other away all the fucking time.
Also, I hate open endings. I need everything to be final, good, in the end. Let them mess it up again later if the writer wants a sequel, or broaden the story line, but do not leave me with a cliffhanger. It sucks, because even though I don't want to read the second Nova book, I have to if I want them to get their happy ending. And since I love a happy ending, I obviously want that. Leaving the ending open like this might be Jessica's MO, since she did it with Callie and Kayden too, and I'm sure it works for some people, but not for me.
The storyline was mostly focused on how depressed everyone was. Which made me sad. And that's okay, being sad about a book for a while, it means the writer pulled you in. But after the sadness I want my happy ending. Not in the next book, no, I want it in the final chapters, so even though I was sad about the book, I can put it away happily.
