The S&S series can be read as a standalone or in order, it is up to you. However, there are some crossover characters and interactions that happen so I tend to perfer to know ALL of what I can.
That being said I have read the first two and then I jumped into this one. I haven't come across Tyson in the other books so far (or he was a quick mention that I don't remember) so he was completely new to me.
I got pretty much everything I expect from a S&S novel: hot hot hot schmexy scenes, a situation that not only infuriates you and you look forward to how it is solved, some aggravation, and finally the HEA.
I was surprised that we didn't get more scenes that incorporated the particular k!nk which, I admit, was one that I struggled trying to understand but that is why more instances and how the couple thought about and handled it would have been what would help to get a better understanding.
and I am not 100% sure but I don't think they did it face to face and I was really hoping to have that connection with just the two of them.
