While I'm not a fan of the premise (basically using the football star Cal Bonner for baby making purposes), I do like the idea of a professor and a football star getting together. I think it could have been done a little differently, but maybe that's a subject for another book. Otherwise, I liked how these two strong personalities clashed. I think Jan Darlington needed to be a little more mischevious. SEP teased at that near the beginning, but other than locking Cal out of the house and getting her own car there wasn't a lot of chicanery.
