The Blood of Emmett Till by Timothy B. Tyson

5.0

Powerful story of the 1954 slaying of Emmitt Till and its impact on the burgeoning civil rights movement. Sweeping in scope and unsparing on details, every American should read this but won’t.

The narration was distracting with the reader’s choice to attempt to imitate speakers’ dialect and speech patterns. It was too much for me.
