Assassin's Creed: Renaissance
by Oliver Bowden
This was the second AC book I'd ever read and I don't know why I expected this to be better than the other one. I might have even liked "Unity" better now that I think about it. But I'm personally just not a fan of the author's writing style, I guess? It was so dry, the sentences were very choppy, and the flow of the story was just strange so it took me Aages to finish it. I guess it comes from the fact that the book was based on the game and thus the author had no choice but to leave a lot of the more action paced stuff out but still... I feel like it could've been executed better. Also, a few minor changes from the game really irked me and I just didn't understand where the reasoning for the changes lay? I guess since this was the first installment in the whole series (AC books, I mean) the author was perhaps still figuring out the world and such? I don't know.
Loved the game though :') that's why I still had to give it at least 3 stars
