This was the most awful book I’ve read. Please look into the trigger warnings and reviews before reading this. So many things wrong.
Main thing for me that I hated was the repeated notion in “dark feminist” novels saying that women are bound to suffer and be controlled by men. That’s so fucked. It doesn’t have to be that way. You’re making it happen by putting work out there that doesn’t support women.
Also, the narration was literally majority of it being a man reading it in a stupid tone. He sounded like a robot. And the little bit there was of the woman’s narration was robotic too. I felt like society was preaching to me that women will never get out of this cycle.
