Psycho
by Onley James
November 2022. I discovered a book series (Necessary Evils) about a family of 7 hot gay billionaire psychopath brothers in their late 20’s through late 30’s who were adopted as children and trained by a psychologist to kill only evil people who haven’t been punished by the legal system.
Each book follows one of the brothers who ends up falling for a guy related to a case in some way (e.g., victim, sibling of a victim, someone already suspicious of the bad guy) and that brother ends up working with the love interest to take down an evil person or group and help them get revenge.
Each involves recruiting help from the family and introducing the love interest to the clan at some point, and ends with a happy ending of the baddies being murdered in a variety of ways and the main character/psycho and love interest happy together.
I listened to audiobooks 1-5 in the last couple weeks and honestly had a blast. They are extremely horny books and have some kinky stuff in them, so not for everyone. But I found it a fun mix of Dexter and Batman and gay romance.
Books two and three were my favorite couples. The series keeps growing on you with getting to know all the members of the family and there’s more humor and quirkiness from book 2 onward. The relationships and dynamics between all the characters gets pretty fun.
Necessary Evils series by Onley James.
Unhinged, Psycho, Moonstruck, Headcase, Madman.
