Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake

I adore this book. It's weird, with even more weird characters and with a prose so pristine and engrossing that keeps me enthralled just by reading its words and neglecting the content.
Aside Keda who I think was the weakest character with sparse development, this book is a gem.
