4.05 read. i wasn't expecting much going into this read but i was so surprised when i found myself really enjoying the book. i read the inmate in 2 days and i really liked the storyline of the inmate. the characters were really well done and i liked how the book switched between past and present as we found out more information and the story unfolded. the book really did do my head in by the number of weird twists and turns it throws your way but that's what i really loved about the inmate is that it always keeps you guessing even though you may think you know what the entire plot of the book is going to be. i loved the epilogue of the inmate and thought that it was a great chapter to end on, especially since I'm proud of myself for guessing that little plot twist. the storyline was well written, and this book differed from her previous ones that i have read which was very enjoyable. so it was a great soul shaking quick little read that kept me on the edge of my seat as my brain churned through all the possibilities of the murderer.
