I honestly don't recall how I came upon an Audible copy of this book... but I'm sure glad I did! This was a very low spice, enemies to lovers, fae fantasy story.
FMC Ava, who is Fae, but has been living among the humans, finds out some crushing news about her human boyfriend on her birthday.
Out for drinks with her BFF, she finds herself with no home, no money, no boyfriend, no family. Thank the gods (as they say), for her best friend. Everyone needs a BFF like her. I absolutely adored these friends. I laughed out loud often!
MMC Fae Seelie King Torin, steps in during Ava's night of drinking away her sorrows. His Seelie Court needs a new queen, and she's been chosen to join in on the festivities, training, and contests with Fae princesses. While they are all fighting for the thrown, in the end, King Torin still has final say so.
Fifty million dollars is also dangled in front of Ava's very money lacking eyes... Yes, 50 with 6 addition zeros!
This book had me laughing, frustrated, sitting on the edge of my seat. It had curious. Suddenly, it was the end of the book!
I WILL be reading the next book in the Frost and Nectar Series by C. N. Crawford. Join me in Ambrosia, once YOU'VE finished Frost.
