When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy
5.0

When The Wolf Comes Home was a hell of a book, and it’s one that’s going to stick with me for a while. The description and reviews don’t quite do it justice, often framing it as a horror story. While there’s definitely horror, it has that kind of absurd, unpredictable energy you find in something like John Dies at the End. That unpredictability actually works in its favor, keeping the story fresh and hard to pin down.
Where the book really shines is in its characters. It draws from both real experiences and surreal horror moments to explore some genuinely heavy, real-life topics. It hits harder than you’d expect.
Also, don’t skip the afterword. It adds even more depth and meaning to the story.
