I thought the magic system was interesting, albeit not extremely developed, but I love the concept of the power of words and certain words having more strength than others. Penny and Ebb have my heart. I thought the final showdown was very gripping and well executed for the most part, I have some gripes about it, but I can let them slide.
However, I also thought the main relationship was flimsy and barely believable. I feel that there were so many flashback moments that could have been used to flesh it out a bit more. Also, the reveal of the identity of the Humdrum was very underwhelming for me (the final showdown made up for it, but still). Also, does anyone know what exactly was the point of having Agatha around?
