Oh man. This was heavy on the enemies but when they got to the “to lovers” bit…daaaayum! There was a LOT of pent up sexual between Lucian and Sloane. Decades worth!

Friends as teens, each others’ safe havens even, to becoming enemies for twenty years that unfortunately ran in the same circles. They had always had a mutual physical attraction, even when they thought that hated one another. But all that hatred and bickering was kind of a weird, twisted foreplay. Because it didn’t take too much convincing for them to decide to fuck it out of their systems.

Poor misguided fools. Obviously a one night stand wasn’t enough for either one, so they ended up in a secret relationship. A relationship neither was willing to acknowledge because it was “just sex”. Yeah. Ok. Whatever you say guys.

I loved their bickering, the spice was on fire, and the friendship and banter amongst the whole group was still on point.

The main storyline (or is it the subplot?) of all the criminal shit with the list and Anthony Hugo still being at large continued in this book. And my only real complaint stems from that…
