This wasn't offensive, but that's probably the best thing I can say about it. The characters were totally exaggerated and unrealistic one-dimensional cartoons, I was consistently distracted by the logistics of the show, and it is decidedly not a romance. Despite being very much visually in the style of contemporary romcoms, there's no romance here whatsoever. I should also say that it's kind of packaged like a feminist message, but when the majority of the book is people saying and doing misogynistic and patriarchal things, those are messages that ultimately stick, which didn't do me much good, if I'm honest. I do kind of feel like I wasted my time, but at least it was a quick read.
