After reading about Alex's complicated love life, I don't feel so badly about mine. A fae guard, who is a former lover of the Winter Queen AND "Death", a soul collector are the two men in Alex's life who have confessed to loving her. Unfortuntely, she's unable to be with either of them. The Winter Queen won't let her guard go into the arms of another woman, without being able to control them both and it's forbidden for Soul Collectors and Humans to be involved. Oh, and did I mention Alex is also under heavy suspicion for starting a ghoul epidemic? But with all of this going on, Alex still has to track down a serial killer, who is eating the life force of his victims before making them commit atrocious (and very public) suicides, without getting anyone else killed; namely herself...
