The Cuckoo's Call
by Lily Morton
This book was a joy!!! It was familiar and new at once. Some of the elements are as I expected from a Lily Morton book and that's what makes it a comfort. I adored Mateo and Wren and their dynamic is fantastic.

✔Age gap
✔Slow burn
✔Opposites attract
✔Sightseeing in Venice
✔Dual POV
The writing just flows and one of my favourite things is how she writes the descriptions of place. It makes you feel like you're in that moment and that's wonderful.
Their meet cute was hilarious and I loved the humourin this book. The dressing up and playing hotel detectives were some of the funniest scenes.
It is a very relaxing read, perfect if you're looking for a swoony romance for the weekend, and it really made me want to go on a vacation!
“You’re like my lighthouse, Wren. You show me the way, and your light is so clear and warm.”
