This was really cute! I like both Kit and Percy a lot, I feel like I got a really good sense of them and who they are from this, I'm excited to see if a little bit of their happy lives factor into the sequel that just came out that I have absolutely already purchased. Their banter was perfection at times, a little offputting at others, but all in all they were great fun. There were so many little ways they expressed choosing each other throughout the book, and every one of them hit my heart just a little. The anti-landlord anti-aristocracy messaging was unexpected but fit so well into the story, I hadn't thought to get Kit's entire life's history but it made him so compelling. I liked the side characters, though I feel like I would've hated Marian if I hadn't known she was getting her own sequel lmao she was so guarded and we left it not knowing a damn thing about her. Same with Rob. But the other side characters, namely Collins and Betty, they ate, I love them. They can be the subjects of the third book just because I want to see what that would look like glkjhfglsd but yeah! A really good gentle read, I might need to find more of her back catalog down the line.
