Horrifying in the way that the Hunger Games is horrifying, but probably not going to give anyone nightmares. Psychologically horrifying and very well written. Good for anyone interested in reading about the inherent horror of being a teenager/young adult. The characters feel authentic even when their motivations are unclear.
Graphic: Child death, Death, Gore, and Blood
Moderate: Homophobia and Violence
Instances of gore are very graphically described but there are only 2-3 occurrences in the whole book.
