The Moving Finger
by Agatha Christie
Strong character development:
Yes
Diverse cast of characters:
Yes
I found the story to be well-paced, with a few plot twists and not a lot of obvious foreshadowing.
I found the relationship between Jerry and Megan to be creepy, and problematic by modern standards. It doesn't mention how old HE is, but the phrasing of some of their interactions is cringe-worthy. I know this was written "in a different era", when there were attitudes that aren't common today, but ... I'm reading this in 2025, and can't help but read it with my frame of reference.
