The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes

5.0

I rarely read YA these days, but this one is definitely the BEST one I've read!!! It's sweet, fun, warm, and most importantly, clearly crafted with love and respect in every topic brought up. Mind you, this book talks not only about queer teenagers, but also racism, immigrants, cultural identity, and even classism, if you look closely enough. Each character is charming and well-written with such lively souls and I love how they all satisfyingly came in circle at the end. Yami as our MC is hilarious and energetic yet as complex as the eldest daughter of a POC family could be as possible. You can't help but root for her since the beginning
