Touch & Go
by Lisa Gardner
Having read this in one sitting I can honestly say I want to read some more of Lisa Gardner’s work: it really was, for me, a great introduction to her work. As of late I’ve found quite a few disappointing books in this genre, filled with far too many predictable moments but such was not the case with this read. There were one or two moments in which I worked things out but for the most part it is nothing but twists and turns which leave you unsure of what is to come – certainly much better than many I have read as of late. In fact, I feel as though I need to go and buy ‘Love You More’ to find out the backstory between D. D. Warren and Tessa Leoni as I certainly need more details on what happened there.
From the perspectives of different characters the story unfolds around us as we dig to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the missing family. Surrounded by liars and people who hold more secrets than any one person should have, it is a race against the clock to find the family before time runs out. With the first person narrative of Libby we find out what is going on with the family, the predicament they find themselves in, whilst the third person narratives change between the different investigators on the case: it is certainly a gripping read that you will find yourself unwilling to put down.
