Everything Belongs to the Future by Laurie Penny

3.0

What an odd, interesting book.

It's very short and easy to read and the subject is fascinating. It's set in the future and the rich/elite (who can afford it) pay for pills that make you live longer and keep you looking young. They essentially buy time. But the poor can't access these pills and are constantly seeking it out for themselves. The creator of these pills wants to develop something for the masses and works with a group of friends to undermine the company she works for but things don't go as planned.

I think the idea is SO COOL and unique. But it was not executed well in my opinion. The ending was a bit confusing and needed more details. It is a very inclusive book with different identities, races, and sexualities.
