The House of a Hundred Whispers by Graham Masterton

The random and completely unnessesary attempted group rape scene was, well, completely unnessesary and out of the blue. And the whole "ghosts" kissing sleeping people to take their breath? Pointless non consential things a plenty.

Beyond that, nothing impacts anyone in any way in this book. A kid and man dissapears? Someone gets their bones pulled out of their body and inn through the walls? Heads exploding? My dad was a ghost rapist? Oh well, onwards and upwards. Everything just seems entirely pointless, cause no one seems to actually care about anything, even wildly traumatizing things like watching someones head explode.

I've been thorougly dissapointed by Mastertons books so far, and probably wont pick up any more of his work.
